RELATED: How Were The Dinosaurs In Jurassic Park Made In 1993?
Surviving the relentless world of The Isle only becomes more manageable once a dinosaur matures and develops, growing into a full-fledged adult. Yet, reaching this stage of life takes a considerable duration as dinosaurs need time to grow. The longevity of this process poses the most significant difficulty to reaching maturity, furthering the demand of surviving the adversarial environment. To the benefit of many players, there is a way for dinosaurs to grow faster, mitigating much of the hardship they endure when playing The Isle.
How To Grow Faster
Growing faster in The Isle is only achievable in the Evrima Branch that players can access on their own, as the Legacy version does not possess the necessary features that make it possible. The Evrima Branch boasts a mechanic known as the Diet and Subsistence System, which requires dinosaurs to meet their complete nutritional needs. Every dinosaur will need its fair share of Fats, Proteins, and Carbs, represented by the three hexagonal symbols above the Food Meter, which it must meet lest there be detrimental side effects.
Whether herbivores, carnivores, or omnivores, dinosaurs must depend on different food sources as they offer varying nourishing benefits. Subsisting on a single plant or animal for nutrition will not provide dinosaurs with a well-balanced diet, causing them to lack Fats, Proteins, or Carbs. Should a dinosaur meet all three nutritional requirements, it will have a Perfect Diet, which grants numerous advantages. A dinosaur with a Perfect Diet will receive a 30% bonus in Scent Range, Stamina Regeneration, and Health Regeneration, alongside a 120% Growth Rate boost that allows a dinosaur to reach maturity faster.
However, attaining a Perfect Diet is not so easy, as each dinosaur has different diets that require them to travel far for particular nutritional needs. Players must find a region that makes meeting their dinosaur’s respective Perfect Diet less strenuous. Doing so will require much trial and error, but with a bit of additional research, they can find a spot that suits their nutritional needs and requires minimal travel. Thus, making a Perfect Diet much more attainable, allowing a dinosaur to grow faster and with relative ease.
Dos And Don’ts
Players must keep various factors in mind, consisting of dos and don’ts that they need to follow, or they will never attain a Perfect Diet. Following the dos and don’ts listed below will prevent unnecessary and avoidable difficulties that can brutally deter dinosaurs to the extent of enfeebling them or getting them killed.
Dos
Do rotate feeding grounds to meet each nutritional requirement. Do remember to stay hydrated and keep water sources nearby. Do rest frequently between trips to find food.
These dos will ensure dinosaurs reach a perfect diet optimally and safely. Players should determine a region that suits their dinosaur’s nutritional requirements and select several feeding grounds to rotate between, guaranteeing that they understand and meet their Perfect Diet. Keeping a water source nearby is vital as dinosaurs must stay hydrated to avoid penalties and even death. Expending too much energy can hinder dinosaurs from reaching a Perfect Diet, so frequent rests are necessary. Following these dos, players will go from juvenile dinosaurs to full-fledged adults effortlessly.
Don’ts
Don’t cannibalize unless a dinosaur is immune to the effects of cannibalism. Don’t waste Stamina running to every destination. Don’t linger in one area or region for too long.
These don’ts are something that players should avoid unless they have no choice. Cannibalism will impose detrimental effects on dinosaurs unsuited for it, the only exceptions being prehistoric creatures with an unrestrictive diet like the Ceratosaurus. Rather than wasting Stamina running everywhere, players should conserve it should they need to escape from a predatory dinosaur. Staying in one location for too long will likely attract the attention of predatory dinosaurs, so players should move frequently. Avoiding these don’ts will save players much trouble and ensure they stick on the path to acquiring a Perfect Diet.
