Paleobiology student and Jurassic Park Podcast contributor James Ronan called for potential Jurassic World 3 candidate titles on Twitter (offering three possibilities of his own), but what would have been a fairly typical social media interaction became something more when Trevorrow joined the fray.

On Sunday, Trevorrow confirmed that life had found a way—someone guessed the title correctly. Jurassic Outpost caught on to the unique title confirmation.

“Wow, somebody in this thread actually got it,” Trevorrow tweeted. “Respect.”

According to Trevorrow, one of the 27 possible candidates proposed in the thread will be the title for the next Jurassic World when the movie hits theaters on June 11, 2021:

The Jurassic WorldJurassic World: The Jurassic Park of Jurassic WorldJurassic World: SurvivalJurassic World: Clash of WorldsJurassic World: Illusion of ControlJurassic World: New Era / A New EraJurassic World: Dawn of a New EraJurassic World: Rise of New EraJurassic World: Rise of the New KingdomJurassic World: Edge of ChaosJurassic World: Chaos EffectJurassic World: When Dinosaurs Ruled the EarthJurassic World: ReverieJurassic World: War for the PlanetJurassic World: Ancient FuturesJurassic World 3: Long Live the DinosaursJurassic World: Clash of WorldsJurassic World 3: Rex in the CityJurassic World 3: Illusion of ControlJurassic World: ExtinctionJurassic World: New KingJurassic World: The Return of the KingJurassic Park: DinotopiaJurassic World 3: You Asked for It HumansJurassic World 3: When Worlds CollideJurassic World: CoexistenceJurassic World: This Series Needs to Throw in the Towel

It may be easy to eliminate some of the suspects—like This Series Needs to Throw in the Towel, Rex in the City and You Asked for It Humans—but who knows, maybe they’ll get real weird with it and go for Jurassic World: The Jurassic Park of Jurassic World.

There are also a number of less outlandish titles that would be easy to see on movie posters for the next dinosaur blockbuster in the series, like Coexistence, Chaos Effect or even the distinctly Planet of the Apes-y War for the Planet.

We’ve reached out to Universal Pictures to see whether they could eliminate any of the 27 candidates, but did not get a comment back in time for publication.

Trevorrow, who directed the original Jurassic World and co-wrote Fallen Kingdom, has already provided a look at the future of Jurassic Park with his short film Battle at Big Rock, which premiered on FX in September 2019 and featured an array of dinosaurs invading the U.S. mainland after the events of Fallen Kingdom.

Jurassic World 3 is also expected to be a reunion of sorts, with Laura Dern (Ellie Sattler), Jeff Goldblum (Ian Malcolm) and Sam Neill (Alan Grant) teaming up with Jurassic World series characters played by Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt.

Whatever its final title, Jurassic World 3 is out in theaters on June 11, 2021.
