The temporary restraining order follows Miller’s unruly behavior, which centered around the actor losing their temper over patrons singing karaoke at the Hawaii bar. Miller allegedly snatched the microphone from a 23-year-old woman and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts, which resulted in the charges placed upon Miller for disorderly conduct and harassment. Additionally, The Flash star was yelling obscenities in the bar, which prompted the establishment’s owner to call the police after attempts to calm Miller had failed. Neither Miller nor Warner Bros. has addressed the charges, but more is surfacing regarding Miller’s actions while visiting Hawaii.

Hours after Miller’s release from the police custody, the actor was escorted off a Hilo property after police were called to assist with the removal of two guests. A petition was filed for a temporary restraining order by a Hilo couple, accusing the actor of entering their bedroom and threatening them. According to documents filed by the couple, Miller told the husband that he would bury him and his wife, which The Flash star allegedly stated in a more explicit manner. The Hilo couple allowed Miller to stay with them at a hostel, which apparently became an unsettling situation. Miller was accused of stealing some of their belongings from them as well, which included a passport and wallet.
Neither Miller nor their lawyers have addressed the claims, but this is one of several incidents Miller has been a part of while visiting Hawaii. Hawaii Police Assistant Chief Kenneth Quiocho informed the Associated Press that were several incidents involving the young actor, such as filming people at a gas station, refusing to leave the sidewalk area of a restaurant, and arguing with people. The isn’t the situation the 29-year-old would like to find themselves in heading into the premiere of the third installment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will officially hit theaters on April 15th, but what role Miller will play in the promotional rollout of the project is unclear.
Miller’s silence surrounding the incidents paints an unappealing picture, but the truth behind the actor’s altercation with the couple is unclear. Terry Prekaski, the hostel owner where the incident took place, indicated that she didn’t know who Miller was when they arrived until people began to ask The Flash star for photographs. She noted the actor’s friendliness and willingness to take pictures with people who approached them. That behavior dramatically differs from their unruly manners at the bar and the threatening behavior they allegedly exhibited during the altercation with the couple. The owner is unaware of what led to the altercation, but it’s clear Miller had not found a place of calm after being taken in handcuffs from the bar that night.
More may surface from Miller’s time in Hawaii, but it will be intriguing to see how Warner Bros. handles it. Miller is a focal piece of one of the studio’s most significant projects, The Flash, which looks to be officially released in June next year. Having a figure both younger and older demographics can gravitate toward is vital for the film to succeed in the manner Warner Bros. envisions. Initially set to release in November 2022, The Flash faced delays due to the pandemic. Miller’s behavior, however, may be another piece to the puzzle of Warner Bros.’ dramatic shift in its release calendar for DC projects this year.
The Flash is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 23, 2023.
