The International 1 (2011) Valve announced the first International Championship on August 1 at 2011. $1 million USD for winning DOTA. It was unbelievable. 16 teams were invited to the tournament. A tournament that was being streamed in four different languages. English, German, Russian and Chinese. It took place in Cologne, Germany with a prize pool of $1.6 million. The final of TI1 was between the Natus Vincere (Na’Vi) and the legendary Chinese team Ehome, with Na’vi being the champion and Ehome finishing as Runner’s up....

The outlet reported on Wednesday there’s a very good chance of Apple officially announcing the iPhone 14 during its next event— expected to take place on Wednesday, September 7th. Tech reporter and seemingly prescient Apple announcement revealer Mark Gurman credits knowledgeable sources for the information. There’s a strong belief that we’ll be seeing the public release of iOS 16 at some point during the same month as well. Gurman’s sources said the event will be streamed, similar to Apple’s more recent major presentations....

During Tuesday’s televised hearing, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) tried to connect then-President Donald Trump’s tweet calling his supporters to come to a rally in Washington on Jan. 6 with the violent attack that later unfolded. Not only were a bevy of new games revealed or teased for Game Pass, but the number of titles on Game Pass for PC expanded as well. Several of the newly announced titles are already available, while many brand new IPs and classic games will be coming in the near future. Microsoft also made it a point to make Game Pass as appealing as possible, presenting deals for newcomers. Perhaps the most interesting development is the expansion of the service into the PC-gaming sphere....

On September 9th, Bungie’s large-scale MMO-FPS Destiny blasts onto the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. After 25 years, the long awaited classic RPG sequel Wasteland 2 hits Windows, Mac and Linux systems on the 19th....
